Job Introduction

East Durham College is seeking a passionate and experienced

Lecturer in Motor Vehicle

to join our team at the Technical Skills Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Levels 1, 2, and 3 Motor Vehicle programmes.

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver engaging theory and practical sessions aligned with industry standards. Prepare and assess teaching materials and assignments. Support learners academically and pastorally. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:



Minimum Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle or related discipline. GCSE-level education in Maths and English. Assessor Award (or willingness to work towards teaching qualifications). Experience teaching a range of learners, including 14-19+ age group. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safeguarding and ability to manage workload effectively.

Desirable:



Teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/DTLLS). IV Award. Experience working with students with SEN.
