Offer Description

  • Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus
  • Part-time (0.5FTE), two year fixed term contract
  • Salary Band: $106,935 - $126,350 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role

This teaching-focused position is responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within STEM\'s undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate programs in the Information Technology discipline. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support STEM\'s teaching and learning outcomes, including Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL).

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of engaging, relevant and technology-enhanced curricula for identified programs and courses
  • Effectively undertake administrative duties related to teaching activities of identified courses and programs, including the development of course and program material, if required
  • Undertake course coordination and/or provide leadership to other academic staff in the teaching team
  • Implement innovative teaching approaches (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to promote student learning
  • Deliver high-quality teaching as demonstrated by a range of University approved data sources (e.g. student outcomes, student feedback, peer reviews etc.)
Essential Skills and Experience
  • A doctoral qualification in Information Technology or a related area; or postgraduate degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent professional/industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, for both service and discipline-specific teaching in Information Technology
  • Understanding of and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including digital techniques where appropriate
  • High-level communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members, colleagues, and external parties
  • Experience with supporting students from a variety of cultural and ethnics backgrounds
