Salary/Benefits:

Salary is between 31,930 and 36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:





We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Performing Arts to join our Performing Arts department at The Bedford College Group

.





As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:


Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

- Plan, deliver, and assess Performing Arts courses across various levels, maintaining up-to-date schemes of work and engaging lesson content.

Student Support & Assessment

- Monitor and assess student progress, provide feedback and reports, and support learners through workplace assessments and experience opportunities.

Course Administration & Quality Assurance

- Complete course-related admin tasks, participate in internal verification, and contribute to course reviews and team meetings.

Professional Engagement & Development

- Represent the College at events, maintain subject knowledge, build industry links, and contribute to curriculum development and leadership where appropriate.

Safeguarding & Compliance

- Promote student welfare, uphold health and safety, equality, and safeguarding standards, and engage in ongoing training and development.

About you:




Qualifications & Industry Experience

- Degree or Level 6 qualification and professional vocational training in a relevant Performing Arts subject, with recent teaching or facilitation experience and industry background.

Teaching Skills & Curriculum Contribution

- Proven ability to teach diverse learners across levels, contribute to curriculum development, and support student progression into further education or the industry.

Digital Literacy & Administration

- Confident in using IT and multimedia tools for learning, with strong administrative skills and the ability to meet deadlines accurately.

Inclusive Practice & Professional Values

- Demonstrates understanding of equality and diversity, maintains professional boundaries, and upholds safeguarding responsibilities.

Commitment & Flexibility

- Willing to update skills continuously, work flexibly across College sites, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Tresham College has three main sites in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, each with impressive modern buildings. Across our sites we offer a range of subjects including art & design, construction, engineering, motor vehicle, hairdressing and beauty therapy and more in support of our local communities.
