The Institute of Neurology (ION) Education Team is a key component of the of the ION Central Professional Services support teams (ION Head Office), led by the Institute Manager. The Team runs an intercalated Bachelors of Science (iBSc) programme along with an Elective programme for final year undergraduate medical students from the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.
The iBSc in Clinical Neurology and Brain Sciences is designed to address the fact that Neurology is a "shortage specialty" among doctors and is centered around the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, a global leader in neuroscience, and the UK's largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital, the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery.
About the role

You will work closely with the Programme Director and dedicated course administrator on the delivery and development of the iBSc in Clinical Neurology and Brain Sciences programme and will be responsible for the management of tutee engagement.
You will design lectures and tutor resources, support the Programme Director in designing other activities intended to promote student engagement, and engage with students on a one-to-one and small-group basis. You will also participate in teaching delivery, student assessment and supervision, provision of pastoral care, and the student admissions process.
The post is offered part-time at 10.95 hours per week (0.30 Full Time Equivalent). This role is eligible for hybrid working with the expectation of between 20-80% of time on site.

About you
-------------
You will have an honours degree in Medicine and ongoing GMC registration, coupled with teaching experience (delivering lectures/tutorials, student assessment, student supervision) and the ability to design and deliver teaching sessions effectively. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative teamworking skills are essential, as is the ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

Salary offered in the range of 16,479.30 - 19,393.20 (i.e., 30% of 54,931 - 64,644) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
