Based full-time in our beautiful office at Myrtle Farm, in this dynamic role you will be responsible for processing purchase and sales invoices & payments, ensuring robust and accurate financial data is delivered to the business, alongside managing working relationships both internally and externally. As a Ledger Assistant, you will will be working with external auditors, offer general NAV support across the business, be an integral part of collating and providing accurate account information to support sound decision making, as well as undertaking any other tasks as required by the Finance Manager, or other key stakeholders across the company.
Maintain vendor accounts and process purchase orders, goods received notices, and supplier invoices.
Handle daily cheque requests, ad-hoc payments, and transfers, posting to supplier or general ledger accounts.
Code and process employee expenses.
Reconcile supplier statements and file invoices/remittances.
Resolve supplier queries efficiently.
Sales Ledger:
Post and print daily invoices; process credit notes for returned stock, damages, and short deliveries.
Allocate payments (cash, cheques, cards, etc.) to customer accounts.
Review and seek approval for credit limit changes.
Update Credit Management Report data.
Investigate and process short deliveries, debit notes, and other queries (including manager approvals).
Liaise with distribution to confirm loads and deliveries (PODs).
File customer invoices and statements.
Other Duties Include:
Provide cover for AR & AP Supervisors as needed.
Collate daily banking and produce sundry invoices when required.
Apple Processing:
Reconcile general ledger, weighbridge, and supplier payments.
Produce Pomace invoices.
