Introduction



We are a dynamic and versatile property and lending legal specialist. Our services include Conveyancing, Lending, Commercial Property and Business Legal service. Our dedicated team of conveyancers within the Residential Investment Department is one of the largest in Scotland. Our lending practice covers volume remortgage, specialised lending such as Equity release and commercial lending on residential and commercial property.

We are looking for an experienced individual to manage the billing activities along with supporting the Partnership Accountant.

How you will make an Impact



Reporting directly to the Partnership Accountant, you will also having direct

accountability to the Senior Partners and Fee Earners.

Responsibility for assessing fees on ongoing cases.

Raising and issuing interim fees to clients.

Monitoring and pursuing payments.

Preparing monthly MI for key business partners.

Debt recovery.

Historic balances analysis

Ensuring compliance with all Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules, and Money

Laundering Rules

Assisting with the day to day requirements of the Accounts Department

Providing holiday cover for key departmental tasks

About You



Experience:

Previous accounts experience, particularly with regards billing in a professional service industry environment;

Experience in a Legal environment preferable (with SOLAS qualification an advantage);

Experience of debt recovery and credit control

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and Macros).

Problem-Solving

: A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements and automation initiatives within a finance function.

Communication

: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Organisation

: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change.

Attention to Detail

: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and precision.

Flexibility

: A positive attitude towards managing multiple tasks and working in dynamic environments.

Business Partnering

: Strong business partnering skills to build relationships and drive collaboration.
