Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Legal Technology, the Legal AI Product & Prompt Engineer designs, manages, and drives adoption of both internally built and third-party legal technology solutions. A key element of this role is

developing and optimising AI prompts

that enable large language models to deliver accurate, reliable legal outputs. You will collaborate with lawyers, engineers and legal operations teams to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and to implement cutting-edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or support implementation of legal technology platforms and AI-driven tools. Develop, refine and maintain

prompt playbooks

that capture lawyers' requirements and produce consistent, high-quality results. Translate legal needs into structured AI instructions and technical specifications. Evaluate emerging legal technologies, monitor market trends and liaise with third-party vendors. Provide clear documentation and training for non-technical stakeholders. Work in agile, cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable legal technology services.

Skills & Experience

Technical degree or equivalent practical experience. Hands-on work with AI technologies, natural language processing and prompt engineering. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and performance. Familiarity with legal research tools, document management systems or workflow automation is an advantage. Excellent communication, project-management and collaborative skills.

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
