HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a diligent and results-driven Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property team. This position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about assisting clients during their residential property transactions while gaining practical experience within the legal sector. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Responding to client inquiries regarding residential property transactions and providing timely updates.
Opening and closing client files in adherence to the firm's anti-money laundering policies and SRA regulations.
Conducting general administrative tasks to support the Residential Property team.
Preparing and submitting quotes to clients, as well as drafting completion statements.
Reviewing mortgage offers and producing reports with appropriate supervision.
Conducting online searches and due diligence as part of the transaction process.
Utilising the Land Registry portal for document submissions and responding to requisitions.
Calculating Stamp Duty Land Tax and processing relevant applications.
Assisting fee earners with preparing bills, receipts, and other financial documentation.
Occasionally covering reception duties as needed.
