Life on the team





We're looking for maternity cover for an Operations Advisor to join the Group Legal and Compliance (GLC) Operations team. This role supports the delivery of legal and compliance services by coordinating internal processes, managing the maintenance and publication of key documentation and materials, and managing small change projects.

Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance Operations, you'll work with colleagues across the business to ensure operational tasks are delivered accurately and on time, with a focus on consistency and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, methodical, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


What you'll do




Policy and Standards Management


Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of internal legal and compliance standards and policies in alignment with regulatory and business requirements. Monitor compliance with existing policies and support the periodic review process to ensure timely updates and approvals.

Process Improvement and Governance


Track the effectiveness of legal and compliance processes and identify opportunities for operational enhancements. Design, implement, and document process improvements that support better governance, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Project Coordination


Coordinate and support the delivery of small-scale change initiatives within the Legal and Compliance team, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met. Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support the rollout of operational changes.

Content Triage and Publication


Manage the intake and triage of new or updated policy and standards documentation, ensuring appropriate review, approval, and publication cycles are followed. Oversee the publication of legal and compliance materials to internal platforms, ensuring accessibility and version control.

Stakeholder Support and Communication


Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams seeking guidance on legal and compliance processes or documentation. Ensure clear and timely communication of changes to policies or processes, supporting adoption and understanding across the business. Reporting and Monitoring Support the tracking of key legal and compliance operational metrics and contribute to internal reporting requirements. Monitor progress on compliance-related action items and follow up to ensure timely completion



What you'll need




Experience & Background


Proven experience in an operations, compliance, governance, or business support role, ideally within a Legal, Compliance, or Risk function Experience coordinating small-scale projects or change initiatives, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously Familiarity with policy lifecycle management, document control processes, or regulatory standards. Experience working in a complex, regulated, or cross-functional business environment is advantageous

Skills & Competencies


Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Process-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse existing workflows and recommend improvements Confident in working independently while also collaborating across teams and functions High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive legal or compliance-related information

Technical Proficiency


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience using document or policy management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools) Comfortable working with reporting dashboards or tracking tools (e.g., Excel trackers, project management platforms such as Asana, Trello, or JIRA) Qualifications Degree or equivalent experience in business operations, law, compliance, or a related field preferred Project coordination or process improvement certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, Lean Six Sigma, or similar) would be beneficial but not essential
