Lyons Bowe is a local, high-street Solicitors, but with a difference! Established in 2014, we have developed state of the art technology which allows us to offer exceptional legal services across Residential Conveyancing, New Build, Family & Private Client whilst also providing that all-important high-street service to our local communities.

Following the growth of our business we are now looking to recruit an experienced Legal Personal Assistant to support our Director of Commercial & Property Service in Bristol and our Managing Director in Shepton Mallet.

This will be a hybrid role with the main office base being our head office in Shepton Mallet, with travel to our Bristol office as and when required.

Job Purpose



We are looking for an experienced Legal Personal Assistant to provide enhanced support to our Directors.

As a PA to our Directors the post holder will have a high degree of self-management, initiative and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities and Duties



Maintaining Case Management Workflow and Tasks along with Customer Due Diligence and Risk Assessments

Be the main point of contact for clients on behalf of the Managing Director, providing them with real time updates on the progress of their matter

Provide legal guidance and support to our clients

Prepare correspondence and legal documents as required and ensure that all relevant documentation is sent to clients on time and explained fully

Arrange meetings and events where applicable and minute those meetings

Ensure that the Managing Director diary is managed effectively

Maintaining an adequate and up to date knowledge of the law and practice through your own CPD and training course allocated to you by the Head of HR

Work through the Lyons Bowe key date stages to ensure all tasks are completed on time when needed

Requirements



Completed, or working towards, a recognised legal qualification

Minimum 5 years' experience working within a busy law firm

To be able to work to a high standard and possess a fine attention to detail and to be organised and efficient whilst working under pressure

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

High standards of client care with a professional and pleasant manner

Excellent IT skills to work in an innovative and forward-thinking law firm

Development/Progression Plan



There are plenty of opportunities for the post holder to develop their skills and have a successful and fulfilling career, however, here at Lyons Bowe we appreciate that everyone is different, and we are lucky enough to have a strong legal and operational aspect to our business.

So, whether they want to develop their skills in Business Administration, Operations or train as a Legal Assistant with the view to becoming a solicitor, we have development and progression plans available for them.

Any opportunities or requests will be discussed with the postholder, Line Manager and Head of Recruitment and Staff Development as required.

Whatever you decide to do, Lyons Bowe will support and guide you along the way.

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
