This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a niche area of a growing law firm. No two days are the same in compliance and there are opportunities to connect with everyone in the firm. This is a unique position as whilst the candidate will predominantly be a member of the compliance team, the support that compliance provides, you really get to be a member of every team.
Future Prospects
Providing the candidate is successful in the role, I would look to offer a permanent position once they have completed their apprenticeship. This would be subject to management approval and so I cannot provide a job description or salary at this stage.
The firm supports training and development of its staff. Therefore, if the successful candidate was offered full time employment, I am sure that there would be further opportunities for training and development
The Law Practice
Large Law firm providing legal services across a range of different areas such as Family, DR, Conveyancing, Wills & Tax, Corporate and Commercial and more
The Position
The apprentice will be sat with the Compliance and Risk Manager in Christchurch. However, when travelling to Ringwood, we will be sat with the Commercial Property team with 5 other staff members.
Providing support to the Compliance and Risk Manager and the rest of the business with compliance related tasks. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the Solicitor's Regulation Authority's Standards and Regulations and contribute to implementing and ensuring best practice across the business.
Undertaking compliance file reviews and liaising with staff regarding corrective action
Updating and maintaining central registers (e.g. file reviews, breaches)
Unblocking files
Assisting with complaints handling process
Assisting with the firm's data breach process
Assisting with the collation of data when a data subject access request is received
Drafting communications for review that have been dictated by the Compliance and Risk Manager
Assisting the Compliance and Risk Manager with ad-hoc projects and tasks

You will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
