Estate & Lettings Agent - Rental Accounts Officer

Nicholas Humphreys Estate Agents specialise in sales and lettings within a number of University Towns and Cities. We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Officer to join our expanding team!.

You will work closely with property management teams in multiple office locations to provide a high level of service to our clients and will assist the team by managing the tenancy accounts across our portfolio. This will include landlord and tenant accounts to ensure payments are up to date and involve the active chasing of any outstanding arrears.

Required Responsibilities (subject to change in line with the demands of the business):

Answering general tenant and landlord account queries

Chasing late rental payments

Allocate incoming rental payments

Arranging and ensuring payment plans are adhered to

Serve relevant legal notices where applicable

Assist the property management team in their duties

Complete and issue court papers when and where required

Update landlords via email, letter and phone calls about current and on-going arrears

The ideal candidate must be:

Proficient in using Microsoft products, in particular Outlook and Excel.

Confident in handling phone calls and liaising face to face with a range of clients

Proficient in English and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills

Eager to learn

Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

Energetic and enthusiastic

Able to demonstrate an ability to handle sensitive situations and comply with data protection at all times

Previous experience in an accounts type role is essential. Experience in using Payprop and SME is also desired but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Overtime may be available during busy periods.

Flexibility is available for the right candidate.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.40 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
