Thompsons Lettings is a family owned local Letting Agent in the Norwich and Great Yarmouth area. Located near the UEA we're currently specialist in Student let with a vision of growth further into HMO and Residential lettings. Started in 1998, Thompsons Lettings remain in the founders family with their sons currently taking it forward to a new exciting chapter of growth. In the last five years considerable progress has been made since the handing over to the next generation, as of 2025 a series of plans have been made to grow at a faster pace through establishing a dynamic strong team.

Role Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Lettings Property Manager to oversee our property lettings operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless lettings process, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving the success of our property portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities



Activity advertise & seek new tenancies for all properties Carry out viewings, welcome visits and regular property checks Communicating with potential new applicants and seeking new opportunities Identifying new business opportunities and registering new applicants Negotiating and agreeing tenancies Delivering exceptional customer service over the phone and face to face Building strong relationships internally and externally Matching suitable tenants to properties Maintain social media & online assets
Every day will be different but shaped by the individual, we want to allow the successful candidate to help shape the role through structure and achieving a high standard of service. It will be possible to help sculpt the role but specific requirements will be established to ensure our core processes are complete.

Experience & Ideal Candidate



Previous letting experience is essential, over 2yrs experience in a similar role expected. Ideally with student letting knowledge but not essential. Proficient computer skills, familiar with working with multiple platforms and essential MS experience. Strong customer service skills are essential to delivering a high standard of service to both potential and existing tenants. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle is required for the role. A pool car will be provided but during busier times individual may be required to use their own vehicle with mileage payments paid where applicable. The individual should be comfortable working as a team but also self sufficient with independent determination. The role may provide an opportunity for career growth, this would be achieved with the growth of the brand to which the individual will play a crucial role. The individual must be a excellent communicator both written and spoken, a skill to explain clearly and effectively is essential to delivering processes. We want someone who is driven to succeed, ambitious, confident and outgoing as the role will be a heart beat of the brand therefore bold energy is needed. Whilst we encourage creativity, the individual should also be balance with a keen eye for detail, able to follow processes strictly and use existing structure to deliver a high standard across all aspects of the brand.

Company Benefits & Environment



A full UK driving licence and own vehicle is required for the role. A pool car will be provided but during busier times individual may be required to use their own vehicle with milage payments paid where applicable. Flexible Working Patterns may be achievable with agreement, this may include varied hours and days but the full 35hours must be achieved. The successful candidate will receive an iPhone and Laptop to complete everyday tasks. A bonus and commission structure will provide opportunity for financial increases based on individual and team performance. Twice annual team event/activity for celebration, team building and improved balance. Weekly stand up meetings as a team to discuss both business activity and socially catch up to ensure a team approach is maintained.
