Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our inclusive and accessible aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming to individuals of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and nurturing environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for FREE training by a certified STA tutor. The right candidate does not need to be experienced in SEND but wanting to enhance their swimming teaching and be committed to further training in Rainbow Swim methods. Applicants must be flexible in their approach, patient and understanding to meeting additional support needs of learners.

Baby & Preschool swimming qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons tailored to the skill levels of participants Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and monitoring activities at all times Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help learners improve their technique and confidence Maintain a clean and organised pool area, adhering to health and safety regulations Assist with programme planning and development of lesson plans that promote skill progression Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or programme coordinators regarding progress and safety concerns

Qualifications

Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification) or equivalent Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate learners of all ages A passion for teaching and promoting water safety Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Relevant first aid certification and pool rescue qualifications Safeguarding qualification Insurance

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
