Full-time, 45 hours per week (Monday-Friday, including a paid 1-hour lunch break each day)

About Us:

Bracken Place Day Nursery is a family-owned setting nestled in 2 acres of beautiful woodland gardens on the outskirts of Southampton. We provide care and education for children aged 0 to 5 years, offering a nurturing, stimulating, and outdoor-rich environment.

The Role:

We are seeking

motivated and enthusiastic Level 3Early Years Apprentices to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to "earn while you learn," gaining hands-on experience while working towards your Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Support the planning and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Engage with children through play and educational activities, promoting their development and well-being. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team meetings and training sessions. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.

Requirements:

Hold a

GCSE

Grade C/4

and above in

English

and

Maths

or hold a

Level 2 in Functional Skills - English - essential, Maths - desirable

A genuine passion for working with young children. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and undertake training. Work or life experience beneficial Previous experience in a childcare setting is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to gain a clean Full Enhanced DBS (we will help you obtain one!)

Driving Licence - preferable due to location

Additional Information:

Due to our location in Chilworth, having your own transport is preferred. If you rely on public transport, please ensure you can commute to our nursery before applying and ensure it is a feasible commute.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
