Level 3 Early Years Educator (baby Room)

Job Description

Due to the expansion of early years funding, Tick Tock Playgroup are looking to employ an early years educator to work in our baby room supporting children from 4 months - 2 years old.

We are open 8am - 6pm 51 weeks per year.

Hours of work: 4 days a week, must be available during the hours of 8 am - 6 pm all year. Will consider a term time contract.

Requirements:

A minimum of level 3 in early years is required

Desirable:

Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, First aid



You will perform an important role in caring for children, maintaining a high-quality stimulating learning environment, supervising staff as well as supporting with their development.

Be able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and support the management team.

Support in providing an enabling environment for the children in the setting, implementing all playgroup policies to ensure the safeguarding and care of all who attend the setting.

The ability to liaise closely with staff and parents / carers to ensure that each child's needs are recognised and met, and be a good role model to children within the setting

To work well within a team and to attend staff meetings.

To be flexible in working hours and attend training courses if applicable.

Keywork a small group of children. You will be expected to collate all observations on key children to build up their 'Learning Journey' and set their next steps, write reports and attend parents' evenings 3 x per year.

A sound knowledge of the EYFS is essential to support the children's learning and assist with planning, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation, ensuring that the children's choice and enjoyment is the prime motive
