Position: Full-Time Nursery Educator Hours: 38 hours per week 8am - 6pm (over 4 days) Contract: 50 weeks per year Immediate Start

Who are we looking for?



We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated individuals who share our passion for early childhood education. Ideal candidates will have:

A relevant qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education. At least 12 months post qualifying experience in a similar role. A friendly and approachable personality. The ability to create a welcoming and engaging environment for children. Excellent communication skills!

This position will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check along with satisfactory references.


Job Responsibilities:



1. Planning and Delivering Educational Activities

Design and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.

2. Observation and Assessment

Regularly observe and assess children's progress and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate records to track individual development and share findings with parents.

3. Creating a Safe and Nurturing Environment:

Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. Implement health and safety procedures and follow policies to protect the children.

4. Supporting Emotional Well-being

Foster a positive emotional environment where children feel secure, confident, and valued. Support children in developing important social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

5 Building Relationships

Develop strong, trusting relationships with children and their families. Engage with parents regularly through meetings, newsletters, and informal conversations, ensuring they are involved in their child's learning journey.

6. Collaborating with Team Members

Work collaboratively with fellow educators to create a cohesive team atmosphere. Attend regular team meetings for planning and discussing children's needs and experiences.

7. Maintaining Professional Development

Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated with best practices in early years education. Share knowledge and skills with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

8. Promoting Inclusion

Support the inclusion and integration of children with diverse backgrounds and varying abilities. Adapt activities to ensure all children feel included and valued.

9. Engaging with the Community

Organise events and activities that connect the nursery with the wider community. Encourage children to explore the local environment and develop awareness of their surroundings.

10. Documentation and Reporting

Keep clear and organized documentation of planning, assessment, and individual child progress.Assist in preparing reports and contributing to nursery evaluations as needed.
