As a Level 3 Machining Apprentice, you'll learn the ropes of modern manufacturing. You'll get hands-on with CNC machines, learn how to read technical drawings, and figure out how to make parts that are spot-on every time. You'll be working alongside experienced engineers who'll show you the tricks of the trade for multi-axes milling and turning whilst you study toward your qualification.
Technical Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines (milling, turning) under supervision.
Set up tools and materials in machines following detailed instructions.
Load and edit basic CNC programs (under guidance) using machine software.
Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are produced to specification.
Inspect finished components using measuring tools like Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges
Candidate skills and qualities required:

As part of this programme, your training will be a block release structure completed by the training provider, Oxfordshire Advanced Skills based in Culham, Abingdon.
Requirements:
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 and above in Maths and English
- Demonstrated their initiative and drive through extra curricular activities
