What we are looking for



Holds a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in childcare Achieved GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development Demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Confident in implementing safeguarding procedures and maintaining appropriate boundaries Knowledge of keyworker systems, health and safety in a nursery setting, and equal opportunities Effective communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Our brand new one form entry school opened its doors to reception and nursery children for the first time in September 2020 in Banbury; We are located on the Belway housing developments of Hanwell View and Cherry Fields, off Southam Road. Each year our school will increase its age range, adding an additional year group until it is an all through primary school in 2026.



We are proud of our new school and its amazing facilities, inside and outside the classroom, that will allow us to deliver our exciting and enriching curriculum. As a GLF Academy school, we are wholly committed to ensuring the highest standard of education and provision for our children.



Our strongest motivation is a passion for learning. Our aim is to ensure that when children leave us, they are empowered with a love of learning, confidence through developing a strong vocabulary and an insatiable zest for life and all the wonderful opportunities that they will one day experience and have access to. For us here at Cherry Fields, learning is a broad umbrella. Our curriculum is posited on the theories of knowledge acquisition and reducing cognitive load. Our staff team have been developing this curriculum in our sister schools over the last 2 years, meaning that we are on the front foot of embedded curriculum design and educational theory - please read all about our exciting STEAM curriculum in the curriculum section of our website.



Cherry Fields Primary is part of the GLF Schools Multi Academy Trust, alongside Longford Park Primary (opened in September 2017), Hardwick Primary and William Morris Primary, and therefore will benefit from sharing outstanding resources and support.
