Job Description

- Assisting with the planning and implementation of the curriculum with age appropriate and stimulating activities to ensure that the children's learning and developmental needs are met.

- Acting as a Key Person for an allocated group of preschool children aged from 2 years to school age.

- Carrying out observations and assessments to identify each child's next steps, which will be be used to structure both the curriculum and individual key child planning.

- Engaging in positive active play and to further extend the activities where required to enhance and support the children's play.

- Adhering to the Pre-School's policies and procedures, with particular regard to:

Health and Safety, Behaviour, Safeguarding Children, Equality and Diversity, Inclusion and Special Educational Needs, and Confidentiality.

- We are seeking candidates with an NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare / Foundation Degree / EYPS or equivalent.

- SEN experience/qualifications would be advantageous.

- Knowledge of EYFS & OFSTED would be advantageous.

- Good IT skills including Microsoft office and other packages. Knowledge of Tapestry online learning journals an advantage.

- Dynamic individual with the ability to work as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents and colleagues building cohesive relationships.

- Working with the team to provide a safe, stimulating and child centred learning environment.

- Uniform will be provided.
