About Us:
At The Old School House Day Care Nursery, we are committed to providing high-quality childcare in a warm, home-like environment. Our team is dedicated to offering exceptional early childhood education and care from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. in our Main Nursery and 1.15pm to 6pm in our Out Of School Club. We work closely with parents to create a nurturing and stimulating setting for every child.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Out Of School Club / Deputy Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children, and leading our staff with a focus on excellence in childcare. Additionally, you will take charge of our Out of School Club at Hillsborough Primary in the afternoons, providing a seamless wraparound service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Assist in supervising and leading nursery and afterschool staff to foster a nurturing and supportive environment..
Operational Support:
Work closely with the Nursery Manager and to coordinate daily activities and ensure smooth operations.
Child Safety & Well-being:
Maintain a safe and secure environment, prioritizing the health and well-being of all children.
Activity Planning:
Collaborate with staff to design and implement stimulating and educational activities.
Food Service Management:
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and meal service.
Staff Development:
Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on best practices in early childhood education.
Parent Collaboration:
Engage with parents professionally to address concerns and provide updates on their child's progress.
Out of School Club Management:
Lead the afternoon wraparound service at Hillsborough Primary, ensuring a smooth transition and engaging activities for children.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Leadership Experience:
Must have previous experience in a team management or leadership role within a childcare setting is highly advantageous.
