LTSB is a social mobility charity and we've partnered with NatWest Group to connect young people from underserved backgrounds with brilliant apprenticeship opportunities.

We are offering places on our 12-day interactive course where you will receive employability training, interaction with NatWest Group staff and Q&A sessions, gain insight into the culture at NatWest Group and other employers, interview prep work and advice from previous LTSB students on their apprenticeships.

Everybody who completes our course is guaranteed an interview for an apprenticeship at NatWest!

Programme start date: 31st July 2025 Apprenticeship: Level 8 Data Analytics Apprenticeship

Eligibility Criteria:

Educated at a state school (non fee-paying) Live in Edinburgh Received free school meals and/or require additional support to access careers National 5 qualifications and Higher (or equivalent) in a STEM related field.

You won't be able to join the programme if you have the same or equivalent qualification in a similar field. This may include a related apprenticeship, a university degree or a role in which you may have developed similar skills.

LTSB will continue to support successful candidates until roles commence in the autumn, and then for the first year of your career.

The Job

Build and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with the businesses and third-party suppliers to understand and support the capability needs of the business Extract, manipulate, and analyse complex data to provide insights that drive strategic decisions and operational effectiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business and data requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Identify business opportunities and analyse trends through data interpretation and visualisation. Support skills development by identifying knowledge gaps and implementing learning frameworks. Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and reliable analyses. Lead communication and engagement strategies, ensuring insights are effectively integrated into business operations.

Digital X - Fraud Prevention

The Fraud Prevention Centre of Expertise focuses on protecting customers, ensuring safer banking, and disrupting criminals. Through transformation, innovation, and targeted customer education, we aim to create best-in-class fraud prevention journeys, leveraging cutting-edge technology to safeguard our customers.

Digital X - Data Analytics

Our Data Analytics team harnesses customer data responsibly to enhance customer experiences. With expertise in data engineering and science, we develop machine learning models and statistical methods to optimize decision-making. Apprentices gain hands-on experience to become future data leaders.

Group Chief Operating Office - Finance

We ensure sound financial management to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth. By overseeing financial activities, managing the balance sheet, and optimizing investments, we help the organization make responsible financial choices that benefit customers and stakeholders alike.
