LGV Class 2 Driver

Based in Hartlepool we specialise in recycling and waste management, including the handling of materials from domestic kerbside collections, commercial collections and waste sites. We are looking for drivers with experience of driving Skip Wagons, Hook loaders and Refuse vehicles.

Role

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems as well as Department of Transport (DOT) regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.

Key Tasks

To transport and deliver material to and from customers by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area.

To inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before and after use, use the daily defect reporting procedure to record findings.

To ensure paperwork is correctly completed for loads collected and delivered.

To report all accidents and incidents involving driver or company equipment.

To promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions. You must contact manager if you are at any site more than 30 minutes.

To fully complete an accurate daily time sheets for all jobs completed.

Digi card required

Driver CPC

Be adaptable and flexible

No more than 6 points on driving licence

Additional Information

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.

Hourly rate 13.98, hours over 40 paid at time and a half

Pay: 13.98-20.98 per hour
