The Company: Reedbut Group Limited

The Reedbut Group designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. The business has two sites; Milton Keynes the head office and Andover, and is one of the leading independent sheet plants in the UK. The company has an annual turnover of more than 20 million and employs approximately 100 people.

The business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials and are playing a leading role in the war against single use plastic.

Position - LGV Class 2 Driver

Due to a change in strategy, we are expanding our inhouse distribution network and we are looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 driver who will become a valued member of the team. You will work out of our site in Milton Keynes in a growing business and develop a knowledge of our customer's delivery points.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be in charge of a 18t rigid vehicle. As a Class 2 LGV driver, you will be the face of the company. The responsibility of a Class 2 LGV driver includes:

Making multiple deliveries to our customers in the local area/counties.

Being able to work to time critical deadlines

Ensuring we provide good customer service to our customers whilst on site delivering

Adhering to company health and safety procedures

Ensuring you keep your working environment (cab) clean and tidy

Being able to adhere to the rules and regulations around drivers' hours

Key skills:

A valid Cat C / 18t/28t licence with a maximum of 3 points Up to date and valid CPC Friendly and approachable Previous experience as a lead driver preferable Ability to use initiative Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Suitable Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable and willing to learn how the manufacturing industry works. You will be expected to carry out deliveries set out for you by the Team Leader / Supply Chain Production Planner.

Hours and Location Of Work

50 Hours per week.

Day shift with start times between 0530am and 0630am.

Based at our head office site: Reedbut Group Central, Bransworth Avenue, Brinklow, Milton Keynes MK10 0DD

Holidays

The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days excluding bank holidays. Additional holidays are based on length of service up to a maximum of 25 days.

A salary of 40,000 per annum paid monthly based on a 45 hour working week.

Overtime to be paid at:

o Week days - Time and a third

o Saturday - Time and a half

o Sunday - Double time

Annual profit share bonus: Based on last year this was on average 820 per person. This can vary dependent on your performance.
