Light Plant And Small Tools Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a committed person to work as a Light Plant Engineer based at the Bolton depot. You will take overall responsibility for the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant equipment returned to the Depot.
Thomas tool Hire division hires a range of equipment including diggers, dumpers, and small power tools to companies within the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
As a Small Tools Fitter, you will play a vital role in the success of our depots with responsibility for servicing and maintaining a variety of small tools including 2 stroke, petrol tools and a range of electrical tools including drills, saws and grinding.
Key Skills and Experience:
Broad knowledge and experience in the plant and tool hire industry / A relevant mechanical/electrical qualification (or time served)
Significant experience in petrol and diesel contractor tools servicing and maintenance
Maintenance and repair experience to all hire equipment
Able to work without instruction
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work as part of a team
Positive, with a can-do attitude
A valid driving license is essential.
Proven ability to test and run electrical tools.
Hours Monday to Friday 7.30 - 17.00
Based in Bolton tool hire.
