Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in food production and preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. As a Line Chef, you will work closely with the head chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences while adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production. Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in stock management. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing ones.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, facilitating effective teamwork within the kitchen. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve cooking techniques. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
