Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Assist in the management of kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service. Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Experience

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and helping others succeed in their roles.

Pay: 10.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
