Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring food safety practices are followed at all times.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent team management skills with a focus on supervising junior staff.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others in the kitchen.
A keen eye for detail and presentation, ensuring every dish meets quality standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
