As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation while adhering to food safety regulations.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the management of food production processes, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and maintaining safe food handling procedures.
Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is essential.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively during busy service periods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is required.
A passion for cooking and creativity in presenting dishes will be highly regarded.
