We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff and assist in team management to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service
Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing ones
Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods
Experience in supervising or managing a team is highly desirable
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests
