Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service periods, ensuring efficient workflow. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and quality control. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Contribute to menu development by providing input on seasonal dishes and specials. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils. Support other kitchen roles as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food production techniques. Previous supervisory or team management experience is preferred. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, fostering positive interactions within the team.
