Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service
Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Support meal preparation for various service types, including catering events if applicable
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
Assist with food plating and presentation to meet quality standards
Follow health regulations and maintain a clean working environment at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles, preferably in fine dining or restaurant settings
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience with menu planning and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus
Familiarity with catering operations and serving is advantageous
