Litigation Solicitor (4+ PQE) - Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE to join our growing dispute resolution team. We are looking for a candidate who is confident, proactive, and eager to become a valued long-term member of our firm. Hybrid working 60/40 (Home/Office).

The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, reliable, and well-organised, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable working independently, assisting with departmental matters as needed, and managing your own caseload efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload involving debt recovery, landlord & tenant and general dispute resolution matters. Take client instructions and provide clear, expert legal advice via telephone, virtual meetings, or in person. Draft correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, agreements, and other legal documents. Work within the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant High Court Rules with confidence. Ensure deadlines and client expectations are met, with accurate time-recording and regular cost updates. Maintain sufficient money on account and ensure compliance with internal billing practices. Support and supervise junior team members as required. Attend mediations, round-table meetings, and court hearings as needed. Use electronic document management systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe/PDF software, collaboration tools and digital diary management tools. Contribute to marketing initiatives, attend networking events, and participate in business development to help grow our client base. Draft articles, blog posts, or social media content on relevant legal topics.
Person Specification

Minimum 4 years PQE in litigation/dispute debt recovery, landlord and tenant disputes and general debt resolution with experience acting for both claimants and defendants. Ability to work independently, manage workflow, and prioritise effectively. Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a calm, professional approach. Exceptional written and verbal communication in clear, plain English. Highly organised, tech-savvy, punctual, and trustworthy. Excellent client care, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Works collaboratively as part of a team while remaining self-sufficient.
Qualifications

A-levels (Grades A-B ) Degree (minimum 2:1) Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate for England & Wales Right to work in the UK
