Key Responsibilities:
Manage and advise on a wide range of litigation matters, including civil, commercial, and contractual disputes.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, statements of case, and other litigation documents.
Represent clients in court, tribunals, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Negotiate settlements and advise on risk management strategies.
Liaise with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective legal solutions.
Maintain accurate case files, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
Mentor and support junior solicitors and paralegals where applicable.
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, with a current practicing certificate.
Proven experience in civil and commercial litigation (2+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of litigation processes, civil procedure rules, and relevant legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Commercially aware with a client-focused approach.
Desirable:
Experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and mediation.
Experience managing high-value or complex litigation cases.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
