Key Responsibilities in Litigation and Dispute Resolution

Independently manage a broad range of litigation matters including civil, commercial, and contractual disputes. Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, witness statements, instructions to counsel, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required for dispute resolution. Conduct case analysis, risk assessments, and develop effective litigation strategies tailored to individual cases. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations, ensuring clear communication of complex legal arguments and practical solutions. Maintain ongoing and transparent correspondence with clients, witnesses, barristers, and other parties throughout all stages of the litigation process. Adhere to SRA rules, regulatory requirements, anti-money laundering policies, and best practice protocols relevant to litigation practice. Contribute positively to a collaborative team culture by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and participating in knowledge development initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience for Litigation Solicitors



Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with proven experience managing a full litigation caseload. Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure rules, relevant legislation, and dispute resolution processes. Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail in legal documentation. Confident communicator, adept at providing clear and practical advice to a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. Proactive approach to problem-solving and case management, demonstrating initiative and excellent organisational skills. Collaborative team player, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional development in the litigation sector. Competent in using case management systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
