Duties

Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring compliance with court procedures. Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations. Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favourable outcomes for clients. Analyse case facts, evidence, and legal precedents to develop effective litigation strategies. Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information. Maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout the litigation process. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments affecting cases.

Qualifications

Qualified solicitor or barrister with relevant practising certification. Proven experience in civil or criminal litigation is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable settlements. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional oral and written communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
