This full-time position is based at our brand-new warehouse in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in the dispatch and return of all IPS equipment for live events across the UK. We're looking for physically fit, proactive, and team-oriented individuals with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in the live events industry, ready to thrive in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all company and industry health & safety regulations, always ensuring a safe working environment.
Dispatch and return all lighting, rigging, power, sound, AV and staging equipment. Ensuring all equipment is functional, clean, well maintained and well presented to the highest standards.
Load and Unload all IPS and customer vehicles in a safe, efficient and accurate manner.
Identify any faulty or damaged equipment during return process, promptly notify management and log items into the on-site workshop system for repair.
Stock control -using a barcode scanner and software to accurately scan equipment in and out of the building. Identify any shortages/damage of equipment and promptly notifying management.
General warehouse duties - Cleaning, Tidying and organising work spaces to keep the warehouse and all work areas clean, organised, and safe.
Follow company standard practices and departmental procedures as detailed in the IPS Handbook.
Engage in regular training and development activities as agreed during performance reviews.
Essential Requirements:
Must hold a valid passport and be eligible to work in the UK.
You must have a polite, courteous and friendly disposition often being the first person our customers will meet.
You must be physically fit. This is a physical role which requires lots of manual handing.
Bending, lifting, pulling and pushing will be required daily.
Methodical and detail-oriented approach to handling a wide range of technical equipment.
You must be able to work as part of a team and alone with good communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
A strong work ethic- self-motivated with the ability to use initiative.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
You must be technically confident around IPS's equipment inventory.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends with a can-do attitude.
Basic math and computer literacy.
Forklift Truck or Narrow Aisle truck licence is an advantage but not essential.
