Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are residing in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or receiving home care. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly with seniors, and possess a strong understanding of various caregiving needs including Alzheimer's and dementia care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of clients. Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or activities. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with specific challenges. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse or family members.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving roles such as assisted living, nursing home, or home care is highly desirable. Knowledge of senior care practices, including Alzheimer's and dementia care techniques. Certification in First Aid is preferred; additional training in hospice care is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others. Reliable transportation and a valid driving licence are required for client transport duties. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
