We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support and assistance to individual couple in 'country house' and private family home setting. The role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of senior family member supporting recuperation post knee surgery. The ideal candidate is patient, organised and safety focused. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful caregiving daily household tasks and non-medical care.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Provide specialised care for individuals with operational mobility (post knee surgery) and age related cognitive issues
Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Engage clients in social activities and behaviour management strategies to promote mental health
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment
Skills
Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments
Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia and /or Alzheimer's care
Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable
Strong organisational skills for medication administration and care planning
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required
Driving licence preferred
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
Ability to manage behavioural challenges with patience and understanding
Basic meal preparation skills tailored to specific dietary requirements
