About the role:

This role is to work 4 days a week on a two-year contract (with the possibility of extension). The role is home-based within the Derbyshire area.

As a Lived Experience Insight Lead you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve their access to services, the services available and their experiences of the criminal justice and other systems in Derbyshire. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.

You will engage and recruit participants to collect lived experience accounts from people affected by crime in Derbyshire, including domestic abuse and sexual abuse. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of practitioners from services and communities to promote the project and develop partnership working. You will report findings to stakeholders, practitioners and commissioners.

To be successful in the role you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently. You will also have experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting focus groups and interviews, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime, domestic abuse and sexual abuse is desirable, but not essential.
