Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a safe and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, possess strong communication skills, and be able to support the educational and developmental needs of children. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and the ability to foster a positive atmosphere for learning and play.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan and implement educational games and activities that promote learning and development. Assist with homework and provide support in subjects as needed. Prepare meals and snacks, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences. Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise. (if a driver & not at school currently, later) Drive children to school, extracurricular activities, or playdates as required. Provide emotional support and guidance to help children navigate their feelings and social interactions.

Requirements

Au pair experience and/or background with would be helpful Strong teaching skills with the ability to assist with homework across various subjects. Proficiency in English is required A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. (not essential) Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and parents alike. Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each child. First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected.
