Load Pad Co Ordinator

Job Description


The Load Pad Co-ordinator plays a key role in the smooth running of the site, with a particular focus on quality and safety. The LPC has responsibility for the efficient running of the load lane area. Excellent attention to detail is vital, as are good interpersonal skills. Working largely outside, the principle task is to ensure visiting transporter drivers safely load the correct vehicles and have support for any issues found during their pre-loading inspection.

Your Time at Work
- Helping visiting drivers to find their loads, understand site protocols and ensure they load the
correct vehicles.
- During periods when there are few or no drivers in loading (e.g. late shift), support for admin
function, including load building and prompt dispatch of vehicles/loads. Confirming loads built
are physically correct.
- Reporting and recording of any hazardous leaks and spills and ensuring these are cleaned
away.
- Transporter Audits to include monitoring and enforcing the wearing of correct PPE, and the
following of all necessary safety and quality procedures.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety protocols including one way systems, speed
limits, stop signs etc.
- Movement and parking of production vehicles, particularly where loads need adjustment, in
accordance with all Health, Safety & Quality criteria. Work alongside Compound Operatives
where required.
- Use of Hand Held Devices to record parking locations .
- Proper usage and care of company equipment such as tools, inspection mirrors, scanner
equipment, yard vehicles, and the reporting of any defects.

Our Perfect Worker
No specific educational requirements, though GCSE level or equivalent preferred. Experience of working in the automotive sector an advantage.
Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years.
Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ability to communicate clearly is key. The applicant should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office and comfortable using computers
