is seeking an experienced

Loading Supervisor

to join our growing team at our Ripon factory. This role is ideal for a safety-focused leader with strong knowledge of lifting, handling, and loading operations--particularly within precast, construction, or heavy industry environments.

About the Role

As a Loading Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and timely loading of precast concrete products for delivery or storage. You will coordinate daily loading activities, supervise a skilled team, ensure compliance with HSE requirements, and maintain high-quality standards across all finishing and dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily loading and unloading operations. Ensure correct identification, handling, and documentation of all products. Coordinate closely with crane operators, forklift/telehandler drivers, and internal teams. Conduct pre-lift checks and ensure safe use of lifting equipment. Maintain compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety rules. Inspect products before loading and ensure they meet quality specifications. Keep accurate records of dispatches, loading logs, and equipment checks. Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Provide training, feedback, and clear task delegation to team members. Promote a strong safety culture within the loading and finishing teams.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

3-5 years' experience in precast, construction, or heavy industry. Proven experience supervising loading or dispatch operations. Hands-on experience with lifting and rigging. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and safe work practices. Ability to identify hazards and enforce safety standards. Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

Desirable:

Lifting Supervisor / Rigger / Crane Operator certification. Experience coordinating with cranes, forklifts, and heavy transport. Experience in quality inspection or logistics documentation. Familiarity with ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 environments.
