You will support the Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) in providing professional advice, skills and expertise to tackle issues relating to fraud, bribery, and corruption across a range of proactive and reactive work streams.
Support the LCFS in the preparation, development, and review of counter fraud work-plans, quarterly and annual reports, fraud risk assessments, and Counter Fraud Functional Standard Returns (CFFSR).
Be aware of the complex reasons for fraud, bribery, and corruption within services, and support the LCFS to develop an anti-fraud culture internally and within client organisations.

Ensure that duties are carried out within the professional and ethical framework developed by NHS Counter Fraud Authority.
Protect the confidentiality of sensitive/personal/patient related information by operating at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Human Rights Act 1998.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Main duties of the job
Be responsible for providing support functions to Local Counter Fraud Specialist/Head of Counter Fraud through a range of activities, to ensure that the Trust delivers an integrated, comprehensive and professional counter fraud service to protect NHS resources from financial abuse.
The post holder will contribute to the agreed anti-fraud work-plans of client organisations. Principle duties will include fraud case management system data entry, stakeholder liaison, handling and recording evidence, developing an anti-fraud culture, detection, deterrence and prevention work. All work to be carried out in accordance with the NHSCFA Counter Fraud Manual, and to a standard required by relevant legislation and best practice.
The post holder will be required to travel and stay away from home periodically as part of their role, operating across a range of client groups.
Employment in this post requires an Stadndard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
