Job Description

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Dermatology Consultant to join our team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of dermatological conditions, providing expert diagnosis and treatment, and contributing to multidisciplinary care planning.

Clinical Management:

Provide expert care across a broad range of dermatological conditions, including skin cancer and inflammatory skin disease.

Procedural Work:

Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and minor surgeries in line with service needs.

Teledermoscopy:

Manage a dedicated teledermoscopy caseload, ensuring timely and accurate remote assessment of skin lesions.

Clinical Leadership:

Offer guidance and support to junior staff, contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, and help shape service development.

Documentation & Governance:

Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to governance, safety, and quality standards.

Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure integrated and patient-centred care.



Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
