We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant in Dermatology. This is a full time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Dermatologist to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary Dermatology care in North Wales.
The successful candidate must possess a primary medical degree and Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice.
To provide dermatology outpatient services to patients in collaboration with nursing and medical colleagues.
To provide dermatological inpatient care at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and provide specialist advice for other inpatients Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
To share responsibility for professional standards and quality control within the dermatology services ensuring compliance with standards which satisfy clinical governance.
To develop dermatological service with other consultant colleagues in recognition of regional and national guidelines where appropriate.
To share in providing emergency cover for colleague's study/annual leave or illness.
To develop and implement clinical audit programmes within the Dermatology Departments and in collaboration with other clinical groups.
To participate in consultant annual appraisal.
To participate in service development and business planning in collaboration with other consultant colleagues and the wider health community.
To provide training opportunities for undergraduates and postgraduates in dermatology.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to revalidation, medical audit and continuing professional development
