Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Locum Senior Specialty Registrar (ST3-ST8)

to Work as locum. You will be expected to provide high-quality clinical services under supervision and collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver high-quality clinical care in your assigned specialty, ensuring a focus on patient safety, quality, and effective management. Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and outpatient services as required by the department. Provide supervision, teaching, and mentorship to junior medical staff and medical students. Take part in emergency care activities, including on-call and out-of-hours services, where applicable. Maintain up-to-date clinical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and NHS standards. Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, working collaboratively to optimize patient care pathways. Assist in audit, research, and quality improvement projects within the department. Participate in regular training, educational meetings, and clinical governance activities. Ensure compliance with GMC (General Medical Council) regulations and Trust protocols. Provide advice and support to other healthcare professionals and teams within the hospital. Contribute to developing departmental policies and guidelines in line with current best practice and evidence-based medicine.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Essential:



Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)

Completion of Foundation Training (F1/F2)

or equivalent, and currently holding the status of Senior Specialty Registrar (ST3-ST8) in a relevant specialty.

Full GMC Registration with a License to Practise

.

Higher Specialty Training in [Specialty]

or evidence of equivalent experience (ST3 to ST8).

Evidence of clinical experience and competence in your specialty

, including recent experience in managing patients independently and supervising junior doctors.

Eligibility to work in the UK

(e.g., Right to Work, visa status).

Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

, with up-to-date knowledge and skills in the relevant specialty.

Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or relevant specialty-specific resuscitation certification

.

Strong communication skills

with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to lead and manage clinical teams

, especially in high-pressure environments.

Commitment to clinical governance, audit, and research

activities.

Desirable:



Postgraduate qualifications

such as MRCP, MRCS, or equivalent for your specialty.

Experience in teaching

and mentoring junior staff or medical students.

Evidence of participation in audits or research

in a clinical setting.

Experience in the UK NHS system

, including familiarity with clinical guidelines and protocols.

Leadership experience

in clinical settings or quality improvement projects.

Knowledge of the Trust's systems and processes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 55.87-85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
