We are looking for a Loft team that can handle a whole project up to plastering.

We are a well-established company focussing predominantly on loft conversions - based in Bedford and working in and around Bedford, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on our ever-growing reputation and consistently work hard to give our clients the absolute best service that we can. With the company rapidly growing, we are now seeking experienced Loft Fitters / Carpenters to join our team.

We are essentially looking for a team with carpentry experience that is familiar with converting lofts. The job role will include all steel work, carpentry work (1st fix), insulating and plaster boarding and ideally completing the roofing side of things too i.e. cladding and tiling dormers and installing the rubber roofs.

The candidates would need to:

Effectively communicate with the client - engaging with them daily and informing them of which stage they are currently at with the building process and what will be happening next.

Keep your team focused and to schedule

Make sure materials have arrived on time and are used efficiently

Be able to read and understand architectural drawings and plans

Communicate requirements effectively to the office re; removal of scaffolding, skips, aerials, portaloos etc.

Able to meet construction deadlines and work schedules.

Have a strong understanding of HSE regulations and as such be able to brief your team as such.

We have an associate plasterer, plumbers, electrician and tiler so your role would be limited to building the lofts.

Experience with loft conversions would be ideal but must have a full understanding and experience within the construction / carpentry industry.

Must be professional in a domestic setting i.e. professional and approachable with clients and must always leave work areas clean and tidy.

A uniform will be provided to stay in keeping with our high levels of professionalism.

We are not looking to sub-contract anyone from you. Seeking an honest, hardworking individual / team that has the desire to work with an outstanding work ethic.

To summarise - DJ Moore Lofts Ltd are looking for punctual trades persons who can provide a reliable service to our clients, possess exceptional customer relations skills and work to an extremely high standard. This is all imperative for this career path & will form the foundation of your already basic knowledge of loft converting.

Please note we would look to create a team of labour and Main Carpenter (this job role)
