to support the smooth running of our busy warehouse and distribution operation. You will be responsible for picking, moving, organising, and preparing furniture and heavy goods for delivery to customers, showrooms, and storage locations. This role requires confidence in handling large and bulky items and ideally experience within the furniture sector.
You will work closely with the
Head of Distribution
and wider operations team to support the planning and coordination of daily delivery runs. This includes
route planning
, preparing delivery schedules, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring all operational processes are followed accurately.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that requires strong communication, high attention to detail, and good IT literacy to update internal systems and delivery information.
Key Responsibilities
Pick, prepare, and organise furniture and heavy goods for delivery
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
Move stock between warehouse, showroom, and loading bays
Support the Head of Distribution with delivery planning and
route coordination
Prepare and maintain delivery documentation and digital records
Follow correct procedures for receiving, checking, and storing goods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Communicate effectively with warehouse operatives, drivers, and management
Assist with general operational tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day running

About You
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Experience working with furniture or other heavy goods
IT literate - comfortable using warehouse systems, tablets, spreadsheets, and delivery software
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Good understanding of Health & Safety and manual-handling practices
Reliable, organised, and able to follow processes accurately
Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Desirable
Experience supporting delivery route planning or multi-drop coordination
Previous logistics, warehouse, or operations experience in the furniture industry
