Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Assistant to oversee our vehicle fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the scheduling, and logistics of our fleet to ensure efficient and safe transportation services.

We Require:

Proven Experience:

Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.

Communication and Collaboration:

Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with store teams and senior management.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.

Flexibility:

Willingness to work irregular hours on occasion.

Adaptable Problem Solving:

Able to handle additional logistics issues as they arise and provide support to various departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyse historical data to make informed decisions on customer demand and seasonal considerations. Schedule drivers, vans, and equipment needed for service delivery. Monitor and plan routes for vans and drivers. Ensure the smooth running of a busy operational depot, in line with management instructions. Ensure all vehicles have the correct equipment, with confirmation from drivers. Deliver high levels of customer service both internally and externally. Monitor and address any issues with driver conduct, client feedback, and overall performance. Support the onboarding process of new drivers. Be the first point of contact for drivers regarding any issues. Be the first point of contact for customers for scheduling requirements. Ensure adherence to company procedures and statutory laws.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record. Experience driving a commercial cargo van. Good working knowledge of the London area. Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and courteously with customers and staff. Ability to relate to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
